Chea Sereyroth embarked his artistic journey at Phare Ponleu Selpak where he attended the school’s arts training in 2005. In 2012, he joined Phare’s Sonleuk Thmey Studio as a graphic designer and an artist and later became a teacher at Phare’s Visual and Applied Arts school. He has since been teaching painting and graphic design at the school. Sereyroth has participated in many art exhibitions at various galleries in Cambodia including Romeet Gallery in Phnom Penh, Sangker Gallery in Battambang, Sa Sa Art Project in Phnom Penh, Air Gallery, Treeline Gallery, as well as exhibiting in the SPOT ART, Southeast Asia’s only international art festival for artists under 30 years in Singapore. His paintings delve into themes of memory, history, humanity, social and environmental issues particularly in rural communities
