  • Artist’s Bio: SREY Bandaul (born in 1973-2021, in Battambang Province, Cambodia)​ passed away in Battambang. From 1987 to 1991, he studied art with a French artist, Veronique Decrop, at En Art School, established at the Site two Camp on the Thai border (Phare). The school then moved to Battambang in 1994, where he taught drawing and painting there from 1995 to 2021. As an artist, Bandaul began working in the fields of drawing, sculpture, collage, painting, installation, and performance. Based on his memories and Cambodian history, he negotiated and established a new relationship with his own country. He was one of the founders and a professor at Phare Ponleu Selpak (PPSA), a community-based school for visual arts and performing arts that provide education and social support in Battambang.
