🤗Yesterday, we hosted the amazing dance battle in our Big Top to choose the best break dancers led by professional artists with years of experience in the field of hip-hop. After a tough match, we finally got our winners - Bboy Manuth in the first place, then Bboy Samnob following him closely, Bboy Sovanndy at the last place of the podium but also, Bboy Loung and Bboy Rattana the next in line - who are selected to participate in the next round in Phnom Penh. 🤩🔥

🥰We would like to say thank you to @rombakbattle and our teacher @just__vann to make this epic event happen on our campus.

We held an orientation for our Visual and Applied Arts students yesterday in the lovely courtyard of Phare Visual and applied art school. With the warm welcome and sharing of exciting experiences by our executive director, founders, professors, and our alumni to pursue our new students with their studies in leisure class, preparatory class, and our current students in the academic class for graphic design, animation, and visual arts.

🎓Graduation Day 2022🎓
This morning, we held the graduation ceremony for the graduates of Phare Visual and Applied Arts School together with Phare Performing Art School. The celebration took place at our Big Top in the presence of His Excellency OU Dary, Deputy Battambang Provincial Governor, as well as guests from the provincial departments and teachers from various schools in Battambang province.

👏Congratulations to our 28 graduates, including 8 graphic design students, 5 animation students from Visual and Applied art school and 9 traditional dance students, 4 Circus students and 2 Musical students. 🤩We are exceptionally proud of every single one of you. 🥰Always remember, YOU will always be part of the Phare family and always have a home with us❤

🤗Throwback to Last Friday when we were delighted to perform a movie themed circus performance at the opening of the #Cambodia National Short #Film Festival. The show called "Connection" represented how we can deeply connect to a character in a movie, bringing to life the movie characters and blurring the line between fiction and reality. We were happy to hear the audience laugh at the humor while gasping with awe at the circus stunts🥰

After months of hard work, we were able to present our virtual fundraising gala 🔥Fight for Light🔥: A one-of-a-kind musical circus adventure and multimedia love story about Phare Ponleu Selpak, to raise funds to keep our arts and education programs running in 2023🤩

🙏Thank you to Minor Act and creative director Suong Rota for creating this visually astonishing and emotionally poignant show. And special thanks to our amazing performers, staff, MC, and everyone else involved both behind and in front of the stage💕

🤗Most importantly, we would like to thank YOU, for your participation and contributions. We are incredibly grateful and humbled by your support in our effort to keep the light shining. We couldn't do it without you😊

She also shared her insights into AFD priorities and discussed plans for AFD's 30 years in Cambodia anniversary for 2023. 🥰

We will have four shows a week and ready to amaze you on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday in our Big Top🎪 with the spectacular performances from our students. We are waiting for you tomorrow to start the month with the “New Bright Cabaret”🤹‍♀️

🎪Our campus will open at 6pm, you can take a walk around, visit our art gallery, our boutique🎨 and have a drink in our bar before the performance at 7pm 🤗

*Building Resilience through Hip Hop and Life Skills *

😎We already know that even our youngest students are great in their performances, but we also know how important it is for them to receive the right support to strengthen their abilities and gain new skills, fundamental to their well-being, personal life, and future career 🤩

🤗We created Building Resilience through Hip Hop and Life Skills funded by the NOREC Project which provided the opportunity for them to experiment in real life what they learned through the workshops of our professional trainers @mtt_fdr and laylifelight , creating their show and telling us what Life Skills and Resilience are, through the art they like the most: Hip Hop 🤸‍♂️!

Even though different cultural frames, resilience is the universal capacity that everyone can develop to prevent, minimize and overcome the damaging effects of unforeseen events in life. Building strong skills within the first period of life permits children and adolescents to deal with the most stressful times that new generations are facing💪

🥰We created a safe environment where adults and teachers are role models and supporters, where it becomes natural to embrace failures and learn from them, and where great teamwork always starts from good communication. We taught our students that their mental health matters and that emotional intelligence is as much important as hard skills!
