Battambang, Cambodia– Phare Ponleu Selpak (PPSA) is launching a new crowdfunding campaign to raise $9000 and provide 9000 free school lunches to our students. The campaign will use the new platform TOSFund to reach local and international audiences.

Every day, over 100 children are given a nutritious lunch for free by the Social Support team at Phare Ponleu Selpak. This free meal gives students the energy they need to focus on the artistic classes at Phare.

The students who receive free lunch at school are under PPSA’s Child Sponsorship Program. Social Support identifies children with the most difficulties or challenges and provides them with the tools they need to succeed in their studies. This includes school supplies, stipends, first aid, mentoring, and free lunches.

Every time I meet an artist at Phare and learn about their triumph over adversity, I feel proud to be Cambodian,” remarks Huot Dara, CEO of Phare Performing Social Enterprise in Siem Reap, and Director of Development at PPSA.

Phare students grow up to become amazing story tellers, performers, artists, thinkers and doers. It’s time for us to give back to our society and invest in our young people. Please join me in supporting them to eat healthy food and to study at Phare Ponleu Selpak!

2.4The $9000 goal will allow PPSA to provide 9000 free lunches to their students. These students will then be able to confidently focus on their studies in the visual or performing arts at Phare Ponleu Selpak.
